Description

It's kind of interesting how we name some things in space after things in the water - ah well . . . IC 443 is a massive 70 light-year-wide supernova remnant lying at the foot of Gemini the Twins. Located near the star Eta Geminorum, this space-living, sea-swimming cloud lies some 5,000 light years away.
